After Stocky: what Shopify covers, and what Efficiencia adds
Stocky is gone. Shopify now handles purchase orders, receiving, transfers and stock counts in Shopify Admin. Efficiencia does one thing on top of that: it tells you what to reorder from each supplier. This page sticks to what Shopify's own pages say, and links to them.
Join early accessWhat Stocky did
According to Shopify’s Stocky help page (opens in a new tab), Stocky is no longer available. Shopify's guide to moving off it (opens in a new tab) says it was removed from the Shopify App Store on 2 February 2026 and stopped working on 31 August 2026.
Tracked inventory levels.
Forecast the inventory you would need and suggested products to order.
Adjusted stock through inventory counts and transfers.
What Shopify Admin covers now
Shopify's guide lists these as the places Stocky's work moved to. Efficiencia does not rebuild any of them.
Purchase orders: track them and receive them from suppliers.
Transfers: move inventory between locations.
Stock counts: perform inventory counts.
Stock adjustments: change inventory quantities.
Reports on historical inventory changes, including transfers, adjustments and purchase order costs.
Supplier records that you assign to purchase orders.
Reorder help: Sidekick, Shopify’s assistant, can recommend items to reorder from your sales data and draft purchase orders or transfers.
What Shopify says is different
The same guide lists some limits. They are Shopify's statements, as of 18 October 2026; check the page (opens in a new tab) for the current wording.
Stocky’s suppliers can’t be exported, and past purchase orders and stocktakes don’t move over automatically; export them from Stocky’s reports.
A purchase order can’t be emailed from Shopify Admin. You download it as a PDF and send it yourself.
Case packs have to be converted to single units by hand.
What Efficiencia adds on top
The work between “the supplier's price list” and “the purchase order”: deciding what to order, in what quantity. Then it hands the order to your supplier or to Shopify.
Reorder suggestions for every product from your last 60 days of sales, the weeks of stock you keep and each supplier’s lead time, with sold-out days left out of the sales rate.
Pack sizes and minimum orders: quantities are rounded up to whole packs and never below the supplier’s minimum.
Stock already on order counted, so you don’t buy it twice.
One order per supplier, as a PDF, an email draft in your own mail app, or a CSV for a Shopify purchase order.
Suppliers created from the vendor on your Shopify products, so there is nothing to export or retype first.
A Today screen and a short morning email: what to reorder, what runs out before an order can arrive, and which orders are stuck.
To turn an Efficiencia order into a Shopify purchase order, download its CSV and import it as described in Creating purchase orders in Shopify (opens in a new tab).
What Efficiencia leaves to Shopify
Shopify is the source of truth for your stock. Efficiencia reads it and never writes to it.
Purchase orders, receiving and transfers.
Stock counts and adjustments.
Anything that writes to your inventory, costs or products. Efficiencia only reads them.
